Sunday afternoon, and it was finally time. I'd been waiting almost two years for this moment, it was here, and I was ready. If you're ever on Roosevelt Island in New York, you'll notice this apartment complex right by the subway called Riverwalk. The buildings stack up against each other like dominoes, balanced somewhat precariously on a gentle incline. I'd always wanted to photograph these buildings the way I saw them in my head. And what I saw this Sunday afternoon as I waited for my bus, made me blink, rub my eyes and smile. The buildings were glinting in the mid-day sun, standing bold and tall, as if extruded straight from the earth. The sky was perfect, the light was perfect. I held my breath, composed and shot.
